There are really only three basic things your Zetapet needs to stay happy and healthy: food, drink, and stuff to play with. So go out and buy some food, doesn't have to be anything expensive. Depending on how hungry your pet is and how many pets you have should determine how much food you buy. This also applies to drinks. Check out the shops throughout Sentrion, or browse the user market.
Now, I would suggest going to the Shining River, which automatically replenishes whichever pet you bring, but unfortunately it has been "temporarily removed" from the site. ...It's been temporarily removed for quite some time. It's a shame, 'cause that was a cool feature.
I could just bring every pet to that thing and wouldn't have to do anything else. But sadly that is no longer an option.
As for happiness... well, all you have to do is buy toys. Buy toys and let your pets play with them. That'll surely increase their happiness.
All these options will be available on your inventory page, if I'm not mistaken. Just click on the item you want to use and you can choose what to do with it. Simple.
Oh, and another thing... don't abandon your pets! You'll regret it in the future. Trust me, I know.
The Economy
Items, Zetapoints, and all that jazz
If it's one thing that's extremely significant in any online pet game, it's points, man. Points points points. That's what everyone really wants.
Fortunately, earning points on Zetapets is super easy. The best and easiest way to get them is just playing the Free ZP game anytime you're allowed. You simply click on the link and instantly earn a bunch of points. How many you earn can range from a few hundred to a thousand-something. Not bad if I do say so myself.
One can also rack up points by playing other games and selling stuff on the user market. Oh, and open up a bank account. That way you can store all your points in there and collect daily interest. It's effortless.
You can trade your items, too. Check out the swap center and exchange stuff you don't want for stuff you do want. Happy trading!
As for buying stuff, there's alot of cool crap out there in Sentrion for you to get your hands on. Some items are harder to get than others, depending on their rarity. If you want a really rare item, the only thing I can suggest doing besides getting lucky is staying on the same shop page forever and refreshing every couple minutes until that item you want so badly shows up. Click on it instantly and buy the darn thing. Then you can be happy with some useless yet pretty-to-look-at item in your inventory. Congrats!
Communication
being social in the virtual world
Remember, you aren't the only person stuck at home messing around with the computer and playing on Zetapets. There are other kids out there, too. And they aren't hard to reach. Check out the forums to join or stir up some interesting conversations, and respect the moderators. They'll bust you up. However, if you'd like to take a more personal approach, use the messaging system. It's like email but all Zeta'd out. Z-Pals are a good way of connecting with people too.
Clubs are also a nice approach. You can join or start one and communicate with people with similar interests as you.
Ah... clubs. I remember the days when I ran the Treasure Hunterz. That was a badass club. Third on the list, too. For quite some time. Then my competitor kept passing me up, and it just became so overwhelming that I just decided to delete my club altogether!
Yeah, stupid move. I was such a foolish little kid back then. Tsk tsk. Too bad that club is gone, it was pretty awesome.
